Richard O’Brien

Richard O’Brien was one of the winners of the prestigious Foyle Young Poets of the Year 2006, with his poem ‘Calender Girl’. The competition was judged by Paul Farley and Kate Clanchy. His winning poem was published in Radio Seventeen (the Foyle Young Poets anthology).
Richard was born in 1990, and lives in Lincolnshire. He has just finished completing AS levels at Bourne Grammar School, and hopes to study English and French at university.
