Gerard McKeown

Gerard McKeown has performed poetry throughout Ireland since 2004, including support slots for Stewart Home, Gerald Dawe and John Cooper Clarke. He has been an active organiser of poetry events in Belfast including ‘The Future GCSE Poetry Syllabus’, ‘Skint but Articulate’ (for FIX07) and as a co-organiser of ‘Make Yourself Heard’.

He has been published in a number of top magazines including Black Mountain Review, Fuselit, Fire and Citizen 32. He was the winner of the 2007 Belfast Poetry Cup and runner-up in that year’s All-Ireland poetry slam.
