WORD! for National Poetry Day 2009: Floor Spots 3

For National Poetry Day 2009, WORD! at the Y Theatre in Leicester (in partnership with PoetCasting) hosted a bumper night of poetry featuring headline acts Deborah Stevenson and Oscar Frank, over 20 floor spots and 160 more poets reading on iPod Shuffles. The event not only marked National Poetry Day on the theme of ‘Heroes and Heroines’, but it also marked Black History Season, World Mental Health Month and the official first birthday of WORD! at The Y Theatre.

This entry showcases WORD! compere Lydia Towsey, Danni Antagonist, Paul Howe, Alan Bell and Nzinga Wenham.
