Sarah Hesketh’s first collection, Napoleon’s Travelling Bookshelf, was published in June 2009 by Penned in the Margins, and the poem ‘Tulips’ was chosen to appear in the 2010 Forward Prize Anthology. She was brought up in Pendle, East Lancashire and holds an MA in Creative Writing: Poetry, from UEA.

She currently works as Assistant Director at the writers’ charity English PEN, as well as teaching creative writing part-time for the Open University. But she is open to offers of garrets.
