Aeronwy Thomas

Posted by Alex Pryce on Feb 12 2009 | published, welsh

The daughter of Dylan and Caitlan Thomas, Aeronwy was brought up in Laugharne, South Wales. Her poems appeared in many literary magazines including Ore, Haiku, the Contemporary Review, and Seventh Quarry. Her most recent publication was I Colori Delle Parole (Rotaract, 2007), a collection in Italian and English with the paintings of Gianpiero Actis.

She was known worldwide as an ambassador for her father’s work, and is patron of the Dylan Thomas Society. She was also President of the Alliance of Literary Societies (UK).

Aeronwy Thomas passed away in her sleep aged 66, after suffering from cancer. This entry will remain on PoetCasting in tribute to her work, as I hope she would have intended.

The Poetry Archive includes Dylan Thomas reading 2 poems.
