‘Make Yourself Heard’ is a relative newcomer to the Belfast performance poetry scene, starting in September 2006. However, it’s quickly become popular because of its relaxed atmosphere and open floor.

‘Make Yourself Heard’ was the creation of Colin Dardis, poet and editor of ‘Speech Therapy’ poetry journal. It now happens monthly, at the Safehouse Arts Space on Donegal Street, Belfast.

The following recordings were made at MYH VII on the 13th April 2007.

The recordings included here were recorded live, and thus there may be a level of background noise.

Where possible I have sought permission from the speakers here. However, this is not always possible. If you have been recorded and do not wish your poem to appear on this website, email poetcasting@hotmail.co.uk and it will be removed.
